Heist

My roleProjection Design

Projection design for the Arts Club Theatre Company’s B.C. premiere of Arun Lakra’s Heist, directed by Andrew Kushnir, on the Stanley BFL CANADA Stage in Vancouver.

Heist is built like a heist film, and the projections did a film’s work on stage: title cards and jumps in time, a dossier for each member of the crew, a grid laid over the floor and climbing the walls of Ryan Cormack’s set, and a gallery of glowing frames for the ruby job. Some of the projectors came from SFU’s Precursor Lab.

“Wladimiro A. Woyno Rodriguez’s projections creep across Ryan Cormack’s set, geometric grids climbing the walls and spilling onto the floor that blur what is the room and what is an image of the room.” — Angie Rico, Stir, 28 September 2026
