The Apiary

My roleLighting Design

Lighting design for the Apiary Collective’s production of Kate Douglas’s The Apiary, directed by Daniela Atiencia, at the Vines Den in Vancouver.

The Apiary is set twenty-two years from now, in an underfunded research facility where three women care for the last captive bees. In the darker scenes the hives were the light: lit from inside, they turned pink, violet, green, red or yellow, with LED tubes and a few fixtures around the room.
