The Canadian premiere of Lembit Beecher and Hannah Moscovitch’s chamber opera brings memory, displacement and survival into a transforming forest.

For City Opera Vancouver, the Precursor Lab design team brought together scenic collage, live projection and Beecher’s mechanical sound sculptures to move between domestic memory, wartime rupture and a fairy-tale landscape.
